Hooked On Sin

Isaiah 59:2 (CSB) But your iniquities are separating you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not listen.

God is always concerned about the motives behind what we do. Sin is a part of our nature, but God does not want us to be alright with living in sin. This world we live in promotes the comforts of sin making it common and casual. Even though we may get what we desire and feel alright about it – this does not dismiss the fact that we have sinned against God. Sin separates us from God. A life without God is a life of death. What are the motives for the way you are living your life? I pray that you have a sensitive awareness of the Holy Spirit’s caution for you to avoid doing sinful deeds. Don’t let the activities of this world get you hooked on sin. Be a fisherman for Christ, and live your life in a manner that loves and serves God and God’s people.
