Unless We Pray
1 John 5:15 (NLT) And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
Let’s go to our Father in prayer about everything! Whether we’re right or wrong in what we ask of Him – He will receive us in love and make our crooked places straight. He’ll correct us. He’ll teach us. He’ll forgive us. He’ll bless us. But – unless we pray – we’re going to sink and stink in a hole of hopelessness that holds for us no nurturing. Unless we pray – and I mean ‘for real’ prayers from the earnest depths of our heart – we will deny ourselves the blessings of the Lord that He desires to give us. The greatest of His blessings for us is His love. What is your attitude toward prayer? I hope it is an attitude of privilege and power! May it be to God’s delight that He may know from your prayer life that you enjoy talking and sharing with Him.
